Tagging folders / files for exclusion

Description

It would be great to, next to mark as watched/unwatched and favorite/not ditto, have a possibility to exclude directories and files from the scanning and indexing feature, i.e. mark for exclusion/inclusion.

That is, my media library is located on a NAS share with stuff i do not need or want to index.

  • milestone set to Sometime in the Future.

Now that beta 4 has collections, this is really just adding custom collection directories

#27 has been marked a duplicate of this.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

(In [445]) * Fixed clearing of metadata on dirs

  • Added ability to skip directories on import
  • Hooked up code to add/remove arbitrary dirs as collections (will not remove a mount)

(Not tested) Fixes #15, #76

Still not working here for me with beta 5. Marked the directory contain 200 odd music videos as to be skipped and was still prompted for them all when scanning and importing.

I'll add that to add a custom collection, you'll need to edit the metaData.plist in the ~/Library/Application Suppport/Sapphire/ directory. Specifically, under the key "Directories" (not Dirs) add a STRING with the full path to where you'd like the custom collection to be.

This was something I was digging for, for quite some time.

I can confirm this - the directory skipping does not appear to work.

Same here, both iTunes and Movies folders are located on an external HD for me and marking the iTunes folder to skip importing doesn't seem to be doing much. It still tries to import data on all 500 or so music videos and even some of the .mp3s.

Beta 5 on iMac 24" 2.8 GHz, Leopard 10.5.2 with all other updates as well.

Same problem here, does not respect skip flag.
