ImportHelper freezing, causing choppy video playback

Description

Fairly frequently I notice that video playback is really choppy -- the audio continues as normal, but the video will freeze every couple of seconds. When I open Activity Monitor I can see that Sapphire's "ImportHelper?" is hanging. I force quit it and everything returns to normal.
