Check out a search for ""[http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=quicksand&x=0&y=0&site=aka Quicksand]"" for a good example of a not-so-helpful list from IMDB. Unless I have the year of release in front of me it's not very obvious, and even release dates differ from country to country.

One possibility would be to allow a right-click option to display film details (Nothing major but plot & 3-4 cast members would be more than enough, maybe even move 'AKA' to here) that would mean the user is better equipped to choose the right film.
