Metadata/import info lost when NAS is shut off

Description

If there would be any way to create persistent metadata on the files being imported from a collection, that would be excellent. I currently have a Mac Mini networked to a netgear ReadyNas? filled with TV shows and Movies. This collection takes about 30 minutes or so to go through with Sapphire and get the correct metadata loaded. After shutting down the NAS (I'd like to save power every evening), Sapphire wants to go through the whole import process over again.

Any tips or a fix would be appreciated. The NAS has its folders aliased in the ~/Movies folder for access. Let me know if there is any other information I can provide. This is otherwise a most righteous plugin!

Chris.

There is no way to detect the difference between a missing mount and removed files, and Sapphire does not keep metadata for missing files. To that end, Sapphire assumes that an existing directory with no contents is a missing mount; but otherwise it must conclude that it is deleted files.

You should not use aliases, but instead have Sapphire use the mount itself.
