Request to store metadata or a backup on volume where media files are stored

This may have been suggested, but could not be found:

Would it be possible to store the metadata files or backups of them along side of the media files they describe? In the case of an upgrade to ATV there would be no need to rebuild the metadata database if the database is not stored on ATV.

Or make it possible to automatically detect the backup metadata files that would be stored alongside the media and simply import the backup files.

This also would make it much simpler for multiple ATV systems to mount and share a media library.

Only by losing all the advantages that Sapphire provides; so no.
