What format were you importing? VIDEO_TS, .mov, .avi etc?

Replying to wazza:

VIDEO_TS. To be more specific, I replaced a (bad) copy of a NTSC movie with a different rip. I used the browser to "clear" metadata, then re-imported all. This resulted in 4 or 7 (instead of the usual 10) keys in the metadata.plist. Furthermore, the value for Duration was some negative number. Only after deleting the entry entirely in the metadata.plist and re-importing all did the import work. So it seems that "clear" metadata from the browser followed by import all is creating corrupted entries in the metadata.plist.

I should note, the "bad" copy was bad insofar as it was a 4:3 aspect ratio. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong with the data. It was showing up fine in the browser before replacement.

I know what's going on now. The "Clear" menu when applied to VIDEO_TS content does something different to when clearing AVI or MOV content.

I'll have a look at this and see if I can find a fix later in the week.

Request to gbooker: Can we change the name of the ticket to "Clear menu not working correctly for VIDEO_TS"?
