Background Import Feature Doesn't Work

Reported by: kadeschs Owned by:

Component: Metadata - Movie Version: 1.0b7
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I have just installed Sapphire 1.0b7.7 (974) on AppleTV 3.0.1. When selecting the "Import All Data" and then "Start Importing Data", the import tool scans all of the directories and properly identifies newly added video files. However, when it's done with the scanning process, it goes into the "Waiting for background import to complete" phase. At that point, it just sits there with the completion bar at 3/647 and never finishes. Eventually, I just end up on clicking the "Cancel Import" button to leave the screen. I've noticed that all of my Movie data says 0s playtime and no details about the files when I go through the playlist in Sapphire. No CrashReport? logs are generated either.

Either your ATV's date is far off, or your ATV isn't logging. BugReporting discusses this. Without information needed to either reproduce this, or to identify the exact issue, nothing can nor will be done.

That's your problem, right there. You didn't install Sapphire properly. Do what it says to fix it.
