identifying one-time TV-Show

Description

Sapphire does identify a one-time TV-show correctly, but does not display it.

E.g. the german TV-Show is called Kurt Krömer - Na, du alte Kackbratze and listed at tvrage a one-time-show.

Naming the file "Kurt Krömer - Na, du alte Kackbratze - S1.avi" lets the importer find the file and I can identify the show, but it does not appear under "TV-Shows" after the import finishes.

This might be, because this show has no episodes, but naming it S01E00 or S01E01 or something different does not help.

Change History

I would argue that such a show should have a single episode within its episode list. I believe I have seen such things on TV Rage before. In this scenario, Sapphire would be able to identify the episode. Otherwise, changing the scraper to detect this situation would be difficult, not to mention changing it.

TV Rage allows editing, so I'd suggest adding the single episode information yourself, and then tell Sapphire to refetch the information once the data is on the site.

Yes, inserting a single episode would be a possible work arround. But, its rather impossible to change a one-time-show at TVRAGE to a show with a single episode afterwords.

And this will result for sapphire into a folder under TV-Shows displaying a "Season"-line aswell, having then only ONE episode, what will look quite awkward, would it not ? Much nicer would be, if the single-show would be displayed right under the TV-Show folders.

Just tell, if you like to do this complicated change to have it nice, otherwise I try my best to change the shows at TVRAGE.

Another thing: I also have DVDs, that are no "movies" and so will never be in IMDB and that also did not air anywere, so that TVRAGE will not accept them either (because they also have no episodes). Examples are DVDs from comedians or concerts ...

Having an xml-File does not help them to be imported, I tried. Any idea how to trick them into sapphire ?

And a third thing: sapphire does not seem to fetch the TV-Shows main descriptions from TVRAGE, those could be nicely displayed at the left, when hovering over the TV-Show titles to have a show description before switching to the episode selections. Currently theres only the main image and the series name on the left. Any idea for adding that ? (or did I miss a ticket here and its already in ?)

Kind regards and best wishes for 2010, Phade

This problem is fixed now with version 8.0.5, it looks to me, that the format change at tvrage.com was the problem.
