TV shows Will not display under Sapphire Menu (similar to 377)

Symptoms:

Sapphire updates OK, Whem I log in to Library/Application? Support/Sapphire?, under @TV I see the Show title, below that is the Season directory and image file. Below the season directory are all the images for the shows:

e.g. @TV Planet Earth Season 1 season1.jpg + + image1.jpg . . . . image11.jpg

On the aTV Sapphire main menu after pressing import all data, I see Sapphire saying that it is updating TV shows, but on completion, TV shows is blank. When I try to update under the TV shows menu by scanning for new files, it just sits there forever. Under Library/Application? Support/Sapphire?, metaData.sapphireDataV2 is missing, metaData.sapphireDataV3 is present.

Previously, under TV shows, just the Season image was displayed, none of the episodes were displayed at all. I completely uninstalled sapphire and removed the Library/Application? Support/Sapphire? directly completely. I noticed that there was a metaData.sapphireDataV2 database file there at the time.

After a new install, and update, all Movie info was fine, but no TV info was shown, although it was present.

I'm not sure why metaData.sapphireDataV2 was not created the 2nd time around The TV show section has always been an issue for me, even after completely removin both Sapphire and ATVfiles and then only installimg Sapphire to ensure no code conflicts.

Also, check to see if this is similar to #382. It should be creating the metaData.sapphireDataV3 file. This issue would cause the symptoms you're describing.

Sorry for the delay in responding (away on vacation), the metaData.sapphireDataV3 file is created (copy attached previously). I will perform a finder restart as described in the bug reporting, then try to import the TV shows again and recapture the log files.

I checked #382, but I don't think it applies in this case.

I will re-install and check permissions on the metaData.sapphireDataV3 file to see if there are any issues.

metaData.sapphireDataV3 file permissions are rw-r--r--

Attached is a revised console log and crash log, it appears not to pertain to Sapphire though, so I will try to remove and install again and get logs that are more relevant. I thought I would attach them anyway in case they are helpfull with other issues.

I looked at your metadata file. It has the TV episodes present and they do work. I did notice in your console log, numerous errors by other plugins. Try removing them as badly written plugins have cause problems in others in the past. Then, if Sapphire behaves properly, add the plugins back in one at a time till it breaks.

Thanks, will do! It looks like Keyboard Magic ans XBMC crashed a couple of times. I will remove everything except NitoTV (I think Nito has to stay otherwise there is no way to play the movies), then install one at a time starting with Sapphire. I will check the logs prior and post each install to see if there are any issues. If I see something suspect then I will post it.

I had a similar issue - I could not update Scrapers & Sapphire would not show anything under TV Shows (well, except ones I had hard coded with xml files).

To resolve this, I found the scraper update on your site (http://appletv.nanopi.net/trac/browser/trunk/SapphireFrappliance/MetaDataImporting/Scrapers/tvrage.xml), downloaded in plain text then used scp to copy this across to /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Plugins/Sapphire.frappliance/Contents/Resources/Scrapers.

I then processed a chown to root:frontrow -- then the issue was resolved.

Well, I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and now it's working... go figure! I guess this thread can be closed then for now. Oh btw, I also removed keyboard magic and reinstalled, not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
