Browsing certain folder crashes Finder, everytime. 4.2

Description

I have a folder called "Movies". When I try to open it to browse, at first it doesn't does anything. I click again, nothing. I can still move around the menu and go into other folders. If I keep clicking, it eventually restarts Finder.

There is only about 20 files in there. They are big files though. I have another folder called "TV" and it has tons of files and folders and it opens fine.

Any ideas?

Since you uploaded the identical log, I deleted the one in the comments here.

You say it only crashes on the Movies directory? Can you list the names of the files in there? Also, did you recently remove a directory or something?

Could you check the console to make sure there weren't any exceptions logged? #48 has the same crash log, and in both your case and that one, I suspect that an exception is thrown first, and this crash is a result of that exception leaving things in an unstable state.

12/19/07 21:13:46 changed by anonymous

yea #47 is me also.

And you mean the console on the appletv right? What exactly would I be looking for. just search for the word "exception"?

12/19/07 21:23:41 changed by anonymous

i mean #48 :)

12/19/07 21:44:30 changed by gbooker

I closed #48 as a duplicate then.

Yes, the console on the ATV. BugReporting has the location of the file. The best thing to search for is where it says it wrote the crash log, and examine what precedes it.
