Description

could you give a short description how the movie files should be named? i have had several issues with either short named movies or with split into parts movies. also - do the inclusion of the year in parenthesis help or i shouldn't bother? it will be great if there is some convention like "Movie Name (year).partX.ext" or anything like that. i still haven't ordered my collection and would like to be able to do it properly. thank you for the great work on this plugin.

You should read the File formats FAQ on the Sapphire site regarding how to name your files. I spent quit some time trying to get beta 5 to recognize DVD rips (i.e. folders containing a VIDEO_TS subfolder). The way to do this, if that's what you're asking, is to name the movie folder (containing VIDEO_TS) "My Movie.mov". The .mov extension will allow beta 5 to recognize it as a proper movie and still notice that it's a DVD rip and play it correctly.

Regarding the movie parts. I thing you should look into the movie joining functionality in beta 5. That way you can have 1 movie entry that points to all parts (in order).

Just name so that a search for the filename in IMDB shows the results you want. This search has been improved as of late. Closing.
