Shorten collection names in main menu

Description

The paths pointing to my various collections are sometimes quite long, and to figure out which folder collection I am after, I have to wait for the name to scroll completely before I know which one is which. Is there a possibility the folder path that is displayed have its name truncated to show only the last (final) folder name, so is easily identified on the main menu? Probably an on/off would be ideal so as not to annoy those who prefer it this way.
