Multiple-file movies auto-recognised

Could movies that have been split into 2 files, ie ...cd1.avi ...cd2.avi which reside in their own folder, same name with 1/2 on the end etc etc, be detected as such, so when imported/played the files are automatically linked together, removing the need to manually join the files before importing/playing?

So when importing, if mymovie-1.avi and mymovie-2.avi are found inside /mymovie/ , they would be loaded into the movies collection as one movie, and when played, would simply play one after the other?

Even when browsing a folder collection which hasn't yet been imported, should the above scenario exist, when playing the first file, as a subsequent -2.avi file exists, treat as "disc 2 of the movie and play it automatically"?
