Joined .mov's play fine in FR but give poping/scrating sound in Sapphire.

Description

So basically as the title says, Ive got a few movies that came in two parts, usually there xivds or divxs, so after joining them using QuickTime? you are given a .mov file. Now, I've just downloaded Sapphire, which a great program btw, but for some reason it will play the video just fine but the audio is a scratcy/popping sound throughout the movie. Also the movies play fine in FR and QuickTime?, So I'm not sure what could be the reason for this.

Sapphire's playback mechanism is identical to what frontrow does; it uses QTKit (Quicktime).
What codec is the audio?
Are you using Perian?
Do you have other codecs installed for DivX/xvid (many of these other than Perian are proven to be buggy)?
