Import Metadata Problem

Description

I have a fresh install of both AppleTV OS 3.0.2 and Sapphire 1.0b7.8.1. I'm having trouble getting the import feature to import Movie and TV show posters and episode images. The import tool freezes at "Waiting for background import to complete: 0 URLs remaining to load." I do see the remain URLs counting down to 0, but then the import tool locks up at that point, and I eventually have to cancel the import. The list of TV Shows and Movies are there, but no graphics.

Marking this as fixed: Version 7.8.2 - "Ensure destination directory exists on cover art download"

Open a new ticket if the importer still hangs.

Under version 7.8.2, the importer still hangs at "URLs counting down to 0" after adding any new TV episodes to the library. The current finished processing number always halts 1 or 2 numbers shy of the total. I can always cancel the import at this point and import immediately again. When I do this, it always finishes out. The show posters seem to be added now though. I have noticed for the last several versions that it always says "Updated 2 Entries." when the importer completes no matter how many times I import without adding any new content.

All of the above happens on two different AppleTVs with fresh installs of the OS and Sapphire 7.8.2.

It's likely still waiting for a URL to complete, which can take a few minutes to timeout. Even when you cancel, it still attempts to load the URL in the background.

You likely have 2 mpeg files which the ATV cannot play and are not marked as fully imported for future expansion when it can.

The importer in the new schema branch is much more reliable.

Does Sapphire generate any logs that I can look at to determine which files those are? I have over 700 files in my library that all end with either an avi or mp4 extension. As far as I know, they are all playable.

No, but you can modify build a version that does.

Also, STOP re-openning the ticket!
