Sapphire Intolerably slow on AppleTV

I have found that installing Sapphire makes the whole AppleTV slow down. Before installing everything was fine and there was minimal lag in response to remote control commands. Since installing all of the menus move a little slower, even the intro video when atv starts up looks like its playing at half the normal fps.

When Sapphire itself is loaded up it responds intolerably slowly to remote keypresses, as long as 10 seconds lag between command and action. This of course makes it completely unuseable.

I love Sapphire on my iMac and really want it on my atv but I can't cope with it like this. Is this an issue others are experiencing or is it just my setup that is somehow causing the problem?

Admins - please let me know what other info I can provide for you, I looked at the bug reporting page but since it is not a crash related problem none of the info you request there can be of any help to you.

I am running Sapphire v 1.0b6.5 on AppleTV v 2.3. I use smb sharing through nitoTV to access my content shared from my iMac using wireless N.

You claim that Sapphire is slowing down the intro video, but not of Sapphire's code is even executing at this time. Sorry to say, but your slowdown is not due to Sapphire.

You can diagnose your issue using the sample command mentioned in BugReporting, but without evidence to the contrary, I'm concluding this is due to something else, perhaps other applications running consuming memory (try running top to see if it's swapping).

Just a thought, I found FrontRow? very slow in loading recently, reaction time was delayed. It turned out my battery was running low on my remote.
