Sapphire Beta 4 Preview (1.0b4) - Browsing Movies

Preview Update:

  • Fresh off the screen - here is a first look at Sapphire browsing movies. As you can see posters from IMPAwards really fit the bill for cover art; nobody likes Amazon’s images of DVD cases :) . It still needs a lot of work, but it always nice to see good progress eh?

    Will it include an option to delete a show/movie ?

    guy - No, at this time we won’t be supporting the actual deletion of movies/shows.

    Will it be able to play .srt files (subtitles)?

    rules909 - Perian 1.0 directly handles subtitle support for SSA and SRT. I haven’t personally tested this to see if it works correctly in Sapphire. AwkwardTV’s Wiki has some more detailed information about some complications/default limitations in this area. I suggest submitting an enhancement ticket to our Devs in regards to a more friendly subtitle play back.

    Sapphire (Perian) already does support .srt (Subtitles).
